Meet Esther...
Bringing Comfort
Esther is an LCC K9 Comfort Dog who came to Holy Cross in October 2015. There are over 130 LCC K9 Comfort Dogs around the country whose mission is “to bring the mercy, compassion, presence and proclamation of Jesus Christ to those who are hurting and in need.” (Lutheran Church Charities Mission Statement)
Esther Comfort Dog has received over 3,000 hours of training to be well-behaved, calm and quiet. She works with her team of handlers in the community and surrounding areas in schools, nursing homes, adult daycares, or anywhere her soft presence is needed. Comfort Dogs go wherever they are invited and never charge for their service.
